Dosbarth Un were excited to receive letters back from Santa yesterday. He was very impressed with all of their fantastic writing! Well done Dosbarth Un!

This week, Dosbarth Un moved onto learning about muscles! Our younger learners got hands-on by using their muscles to perform different exercises. They had great fun discussing which muscles were involved in each activity and how their bodies responded. Meanwhile, others took on the challenge of researching muscle facts and created some great group posters to share.
Dosbarth Un have been busy learning about the skeleton. This week the learners have been on a welly walk to collect natural materials and then used these to make a skeleton and labelled some of its bones. The learners thought carefully about the size and shape of the sticks they needed for the different types of bones.
The Eco-Committee have been busy weighing and parcelling up the pens ready for a collection. We are pleased to announce that we have collected 23.36kg to send off to be recycled. From this, we will earn charity points to donate to our chosen charity ‘BBC Children in Need’! We would like to thank everyone for supporting us with this; please continue to bring in any used writing instruments and spread the word that we are a public drop off point for these.
This week, Dosbarth Un enjoyed a special visit from Pentre Farm. Learners had the opportunity to meet a variety of animals and discover interesting facts about them, including their diets and habitats. A huge thank you to Sam for providing such a valuable and enjoyable experience. We truly appreciate it!
Reception to Year 2 have moved onto learning about their sense of touch and have carried out an experiment where they used it to explore and describe different textures. The learners thought of some great adjectives, such as crunchy and crispy for the snow, and sticky and squidgy for the jelly. Bendigedig pawb!
