Learners in Blwyddyn 5, a Blwyddyn 6 attended a cricket tournament today. We are so proud of our learners; The Blwyddyn 6 team in 3rd, and the Blwyddyn 5 team demonstrating excellent teamwork, and skills!
Diolch yn fawr iawn i Mr and Mrs Dinsdale, who between them trained, led and transported our learners! We are extremely appreciative of the support, and also for supporting us to reduce the transportation costs (quite the task!).
Learners in Blwyddyn 6 successfully obtained Level 2 in the National Standards Cycling Training today. It was a full day course, with Level 1 completed on the school yard, and then into New Radnor village for Level 2. Da iawn, pawb!

The school nurse visited each class today to talk about health and well-being. With the younger learners, she covered important ways to stay healthy, including healthy eating, drinking water, good sleep, hygiene, exercise, and dental care. For Years 5 and 6, she led a session focused on growing up and the changes they experience during this time.
Learners across Blwyddyn 3 i Blwyddyn 6 collaborated with Mr Weekes this afternoon, as part of designing an individual Celtic pendant. Learners applied their understanding of Celtic art, as well as some mathematical skills to draw a scaled design.
Diolch yn fawr iawn i Mr Weekes for cutting the copper disks, creating the decorative tools, and providing feedback to our learners.

Yesterday, some of our learners represented Radnor Valley School at the Powys Primary School Cross Country Challenge 2025 Sport Powys. We are so proud of their efforts, and participation. Diolch yn fawr i Sophie Hodge for adopting the role as, ”Team Lead”. Sophie reported:
”Every single one tried their very best, they cheered on their teammates at the start, middle and end of every race and cheered the other schools round too. I was so proud of all of them and their behaviour was exceptional. The sun shone and they were all awesome!!!”
We’d like to express how proud we are of our learners who embraced every opportunity and conducted themselves exceptionally this week, at Llangrannog. Da iawn pawb.
