Mr Burrows is back! Learners experimented with a range of instruments; Learners read music to depict the different stages in a journey through space.

We are so proud of our learners who attended the Powys Schools Cross Country event – Da iawn pawb. All learners improved performance, from the previous year. We’d like to thank all parents who attended, who enabled this opportunity for our learners.

Dosbarth Miss Powell had another brilliant session with Mr Burrows from John Beddoes Campus – Newtown High School. This week learners played various instruments such as drums, shakers, keyboards and ukuleles. We learned about the term ”ostinato” and developed our performance and listening skills. Dosbarth Miss Powell dissected daffodils, as part of exploring the different parts and functions of a flowering plant.

Gail and Jane from CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services), as well as Kirsty Williams, the Vice Chief Executive of Powys Teaching Health Board, visited us! Learners explored the term ”worry” and strategies to help us manage our emotions, and feelings of worry.
