As part of Safer Internet Day on Tuesday, learners in Dosbarth Miss Powell were shocked to read how far Miss Powell’s tweet had travelled across the world! We used iPads to research how far these locations were.

Mental Health Week
Learners in Dosbarth Miss Powell enjoyed a Health and Wellbeing session with Dosbarth Mrs Smith, as part of Children’s Mental Health Week. Learners worked in groups to create a line graph to plot their emotions throughout the day.
Cwis Dim Clem 2023
Dosbarth Miss Powell and Dosbarth Mrs Smith participated in the Cwis Dim Clem 2023. Da iawn to our winning team, who we will wait to hear if they have reached the next round. Pob lwc!
Bottle Top Sorting
The Eco-Committee have been busy sorting the bottle top lids that have been collected into different coloured groups ready to start their art project soon. Thank you to everyone who has kindly recycled these! Watch this space for future updates!
Eco-Committee
The Eco-Committee shared some great news with the school today. After everyone’s hard work over the last academic year, we have been awarded our ‘Eco-Schools Platinum+ Award’ which is a great achievement by all, so a big well done everyone. We would like to also say thank you to our parents and the community for supporting us with this along the way.

How do Boats Float?
Today Dosbarth Miss Powell explored the question, ”How do boats float?”. We had a lot of fun designing, creating and reflecting as we explored the forces buoyancy and gravity.
How Rivers are Formed?
Dosbarth Miss Powell braved the cold and went outside to explore, “How rivers are formed?”. We collaborated to create a model of the river and discovered the terms to identify the different parts of a river.
