We carried out an experiment using the natural resources that we found to help us learn about freezing and melting. We made some great predictions about what would happen to the ice when we hung it outside.
It took 29 hours for the ice to completely melt!
We have been celebrating St David’s Day! We read the St David’s Day story and then ordered it together. We have had lots of fun making St David’s cards, biscuits and daffodils.
Since Class 1 have returned to school the children have been very busy learning all about dinosaurs. The children have made a a dinosaur silhouette. Don’t they look amazing!

The children made binoculars in school and then used them to see if they could spot the Three Bears house on our welly walk!
Dosbarth Mrs Curtis have created a gallery in the classroom. Everyone has re-created a famous piece of artwork, this is linked to the work we are doing in Language, Literacy and Communication, based on the book ‘Framed’.
This week the children in Dosbarth Miss Burgoyne used the houses and stick puppets that they made last week to act out the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
Dosbarth Mrs Curtis have been using what they have learnt about light and reflection to make a periscope. In groups they were given a shoebox, two mirrors and some sellotape. 
After a few attempts they all worked it out.
The children in Dosbarth Miss Burgoyne made ‘The Three Bears Houses’ out of junk modelling that they had collected. The children spent time making furniture, bowls of porridge and one even had a shower in!

For this week’s welly walk the children in Dosbarth Miss Burgoyne have been learning about senses, so we walked up the lane and collected natural materials to make our own crowns!
