Dosbarth Miss Powell had a brilliant time on our virtual rollercoaster. This prompted our descriptive writing planning.

Dosbarth Miss Powell had a lot of fun this afternoon in our Health and Wellbeing session. It was a test on team work and gravity. Da iawn pawb – Gwaith wych!

The learners developed some important skills in our Health and Wellbeing session this afternoon. Learners trusted each other to lead them around our Trim Trail, blindfolded! Lots of imperative verbs and prepositions were used!

This morning, Dosbarth Miss Powell and Dosbarth Mrs Curtis went on a Welly Walk to view our local area, focusing on the local caravan park. We have started our Theme Park Thrills learning journey here, as part of our cynefin (belonging).

Our Criw Cymraeg leaders led our Health and Wellbeing warm up this afternoon, yn Gymraeg. Gwaith wych pawb!

Dosbarth Miss Powell had a brilliant day yesterday at the Centre for Alternative Technology, as part of our topic, ‘Incredible Inventions’. We deepened our understanding of renewable energy sources and were able to see lots of real-life models. We also had a lot of fun in the workshop where we built and tested model wind turbines, we recorded our results from the voltmeter and then improved on our designs!

We had a brilliant afternoon practising our skills, in our first tennis session! We were introduced to the ABC’s… Agility, balance and coordination.

This week in Health and Wellbeing, learners collaborated to devise a 10 minute warm up suitable for our Hockey session. The learners had to plan pulse raising and game specific activities and include relevant stretches.

Dosbarth Miss Powell were introduced to the art of tinkering to explore the inner workings of a pc, using screwdrivers and old pc towers. Tinkering is the process of taking things apart and looking at how things work. Gwaith arddechog pawb!
